Welcome to the Bible Reading App! The Bible Reading App brings the contemporary church back to the tradition of believers reading and listening to the word of God together. Reading the Bible together is the foundation of the lives of God's people in both the Old and New Testaments. It reminds believers to remember God's acts and their identity as His people. This practice is evident throughout the Bible, from the recitation of the law during Moses' time, King Josiah's reforms, to the revival of the Israelite people by Ezra.

In Jesus' time, a significant part of Jewish life was loudly reading the law and prophetic books in the synagogue. Early Christians also upheld this tradition, reading aloud Apostle Paul's letters during their gatherings. Apostle Paul himself placed great importance on reading the Bible, teaching others in 1 Timothy 4:13: "Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching."

Nowadays, you can read the Bible together with your small group. As God's people, His word is our spiritual nourishment. Reading and listening to the Bible together frequently will make us love God's word just as we love food. May you grow in God's word and equip yourself to be a worker for Him! Meeting Suggestions:

• When preparing to start your own Bible reading group, it would be best to have physical copies of the Bible for participants to read.
• Discuss with your colleagues and choose a reading plan that takes 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. It only takes 100 hours to listen to the entire Bible.
• For each reading session: Begin and end with two Psalms as prayer. Include a passage from the Old Testament and a passage from the New Testament. If using the 45-minute or 60-minute reading plan, you can complete the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in two and a half years.
• We recommend pausing between readings to allow everyone to reflect on what they have heard in prayer. Each unit indicates where to pause.
• Each unit includes videos from Bible Project that you can choose to play. These videos provide background information, such as narrative structure, themes, and history, and are engaging, accessible, and helpful for deeper understanding of the Scripture.
• At the end of the meeting, thank everyone for coming and encourage them to continue participating. You can optionally include a discussion segment, but the most important thing is to listen to God's word together.
