The Bangladesh Police has introduced an innovative online facility for filing General Diaries (GDs). This new application allows users to conveniently submit GDs from the comfort of their own homes.

Previously, individuals had to visit the police station for reporting lost or found important documents, goods, vehicles, or pets. With this online system, that requirement has been eliminated.

The process of submitting a GD is streamlined into three simple steps:

1. Step One
   ✔ Enter your National ID number, mobile number, and date of birth, then submit the information.
   ✔ An SMS containing a verification code will be sent to your provided mobile number to confirm your identity.
   ✔ You can utilize this code as a password later, with your mobile number serving as your username.
2. Step Two
   ✔ Choose whether you are filing the GD for yourself or on behalf of someone else.
   ✔ Select the type of GD and specify what was lost or found.
   ✔ Indicate the district and police station where you wish to file the GD, then provide the time and location of the incident before clicking "Next."
3. Step Three
   ✔ Provide your current address and a detailed description of the incident.
   ✔ Attach any relevant documents related to the GD and enter your email address. Click "Submit" to finalize the submission.
   ✔ Upon completion, you can log in to track the status of your GD.
